Is the 300 m figure real?
It is the manufacturer's rating for the beam zoomed to its narrowest, measured the way manufacturers measure it. Usable light at that distance is a different question. Treat it as the top of the range.
Is it waterproof?
The tailcap is sealed and the body handles rain and splashes. It is not rated for submersion and seals age with use, so do not take it swimming.
What does the zoom actually change?
It moves the lens relative to the emitter. Wide gives you a broad even pool for close work; narrow concentrates the same output into a column for distance. Nothing gets brighter, it just goes further.
How long does a charge last?
No runtime figure is documented for this torch, so we are not going to invent one. Modes matter more than the number anyway: medium runs considerably longer than high.
