Three mylar emergency blankets, gold on one face and silver on the other. Each weighs about 3 oz, folds down to pocket size, and reflects a large share of the body heat you are radiating back at you. Waterproof, windproof and reusable.
A mylar blanket does one thing extremely well: it stops radiated heat leaving. That is why it is in every ambulance and every serious kit, and why three of them weigh less than a sandwich. Buying three rather than one is the whole point, because the day you need one is usually the day someone else needs one too.
What you're getting
It reflects the heat you are already making
The metallised surface reflects radiated body heat rather than generating any of its own. That is why it works even though it is thinner than a crisp packet, and why it must be wrapped close rather than draped loose.
Gold one side, silver the other
Gold outward is the high-visibility choice if you want to be seen. Silver outward is the low-visibility one. Same blanket, two uses, and it costs nothing to pick a side.
Waterproof and windproof
The sheet itself does not let water or wind through, so it works as a rain layer, a windbreak, a groundsheet or a lean-to as well as a wrap. Wind stripping heat away is usually the bigger problem than cold air.
Three ounces, pocket sized
Folded, each one is about the size of a phone at roughly 3 oz. There is no reason not to have one in a pack, one in a glovebox and one in a jacket.

How much heat does it actually keep in?
Supplier copy for these quotes over 80 percent of radiated body heat, which is the usual industry figure for metallised mylar and is not something we have measured. What matters more in practice is technique: wrap it close with no gaps, get insulation underneath you, and get out of the wind.
Is this a medical device?
No. Our supplier copy describes these as designed to prevent shock, restore breathing and stop bleeding. That is wrong and we are not repeating it. A mylar blanket helps retain heat. It does not treat injuries, it does not restore breathing and it does not stop bleeding, and it is not a substitute for a first aid kit or for training.
Are they reusable?
Yes, and they refold, though not as neatly as they arrive. They will crease and eventually tear at the folds with repeated use, which is why three is the sensible quantity.
Do they have grommets?
Supplier copy mentions grommets for rigging as a shelter. We cannot confirm grommets from the product photography, so plan on using cord and the corners rather than relying on eyelets.
