A day bag stops being useful the moment everything inside it ends up in the same pile at the bottom. Fifteen separate compartments is the whole point of this one: the things you need at the front stay at the front, and the MOLLE webbing means anything that does not fit inside can be strapped to the outside instead of jammed in.

Fifteen compartments, not one bucket
The main volume is split into segmented sections, with a secure compartment against the back panel for the things you want out of easy reach and a padded sleeve sized for a small laptop or a tablet.
MOLLE webbing on three faces
Rows of flat webbing across the front and both sides take pouches, bottle holders and anything else with MOLLE straps, so the bag grows when the trip needs it to. There is also a hook-and-loop panel on the front for patches.
1000D polyester and a 33 lb rating
1000 denier polyester is the heavy end of pack fabric - it is what shows up on gear expected to be dragged rather than carried. The pack is rated to carry 33 lbs, which is a real load rather than a books-and-a-jacket number.
Chest and waist straps, both adjustable
Padded shoulder straps plus a sternum strap and a waist belt. On a 33 lb load those two straps are what moves the weight off your shoulders and onto your hips.
Waterproof pockets and a USA patch
Some of the pockets are waterproof-lined for the things that must not get wet. A USA patch is included in the box for the front panel.

Is it waterproof?
Some pockets are waterproof-lined and the 1000D shell shrugs off light rain, but the bag as a whole is not sealed and it is not rated for submersion. In sustained rain use a cover or a dry bag for anything that matters.
Will it fit a laptop?
There is a padded sleeve sized for a small laptop or a tablet. Larger 16 and 17 inch machines are not what that sleeve is for - measure yours first if it is on the big side.
How does 35 litres compare?
It is a large daypack rather than a backpacking pack: enough for a full day out with room to spare, or one to two nights if you pack tight. The 33 lb rating is the practical ceiling.
