A beam you can narrow to a spot or open to a flood.

An aluminium alloy torch with an adjustable zoom head, three brightness levels, strobe and SOS. Rated by the manufacturer at 800 lumens on high, running an XPH-50 LED at 15W peak. 149 g in the hand.

Novalite XPH-50 flashlight throwing a beam across a valley from a dark ridge, with the rated output alongside
Zoomed narrow, the beam reaches across a valley.

Zoom is the feature that decides whether a torch is useful. Wide, it lights the whole campsite and the ground at your feet. Slid narrow, the same output becomes a column you can throw across a field to see what made the noise. One light, two jobs, and no second torch in the bag.

What you're getting

Novalite XPH-50 flashlight held close in one hand, showing the zoom head and side switch

Slide the head, change the beam

Pushing the head out narrows the beam into a tight spot for distance. Pulling it back opens it into a flood that lights everything within a few metres. It moves under one thumb while you are holding the light.

Three levels, plus strobe and SOS

High, medium and low, so you are not burning full output to read a map. Strobe and SOS are on the same switch for signalling.

Aluminium alloy, water-resistant

The body is machined aluminium alloy with deep knurling for grip in the wet, and a water-resistant build. Knurling matters more than it sounds when your hands are cold.

Sized for a pocket or a glovebox

At 149 g it is light enough to carry all day and heavy enough not to feel like a toy. The crenellated bezel means it stands lens-down on a flat surface without rolling away.

Questions

Is 800 lumens the real output?

It is the manufacturer's rated peak on high, measured at the emitter rather than out the front, and it will not hold that figure for the whole runtime. Treat it as the top of the range, not a constant.

Can I take it in the rain?

It is built water-resistant, which covers rain and splashes. It is not a dive light and it is not rated for submersion, and seals on any torch age with use.

What batteries does it take?

Battery and charging arrangements are shown in the retail packaging photography rather than written down in our supplier spec, so we are not going to guess at a cell type here. Ask us before ordering if that decides it for you.

What if it fails?

You have our 90-day money-back guarantee. Tell us what it did and we will sort it.

Lumen and wattage figures are the manufacturer's peak ratings, not sustained output, and are not independently verified here. Water-resistant is not waterproof and does not cover submersion. Supplier documentation for this torch includes a dimension line that is internally inconsistent, so no length or diameter figure is quoted. Do not shine any high-output light at people, animals, vehicles or aircraft.
